Rhino Voice vs Acti: Which AI Dictation Lifetime Deal Should You Buy?

Comparing Rhino Voice vs Acti? Good choice, because AI dictation has quietly become one of the most useful productivity upgrades of 2026. You speak, and clean, punctuated text shows up wherever you’re typing. The best-known app, Wispr Flow, costs about $12 a month, so it’s no surprise that two dictation lifetime deals on AppSumo are getting a lot of attention.

Rhino Voice is a $12 private dictation app for Mac. Acti is a $59 AI keyboard for your phone that also dictates, translates and runs AI workflows. I’ve reviewed both, in the Rhino Voice lifetime deal review and the Acti lifetime deal review. This Rhino Voice vs Acti comparison helps you decide which one fits you, or whether you want both.

Rhino Voice vs Acti: the quick answer

  • Pick Rhino Voice if you dictate mostly on a Mac, want everything to stay on your device, and only need dictation. It’s $12.
  • Pick Acti if you type a lot on your phone, message in several languages, or want AI rewriting and workflows built into your keyboard. It’s $59.

Where Rhino Voice wins

Privacy. Rhino transcribes and cleans up your speech entirely on your Mac with Whisper or Parakeet models. Nothing is uploaded, there’s no account, and it works offline. If you dictate client notes or code, that matters.

Price and no limits. At $12 with unlimited dictation, it costs about the same as one month of Wispr Flow Pro. Some buyers cancelled Wispr after switching.

Desktop typing in any app. Hold Fn, speak, and the text lands in Slack, Gmail, your code editor or an AI chat.

Where Acti wins

It’s on your phone. Acti replaces your iPhone or Android keyboard, so dictation and AI are right where you type messages and emails. Rhino has no mobile app.

Languages and translation. Speak in English and send in Spanish, or switch languages inside one keyboard. Rhino struggles with non-English dictation and mixing languages.

Much more than dictation. Acti’s “Acts” turn plain-English instructions into reusable AI workflows connected to Gmail, Slack, Notion and hundreds of other apps. It also has text shortcuts and a synced clipboard.

The problems to know about

  • Rhino Voice: Apple Silicon Macs only (no Intel, Windows or phone), weaker in other languages, a few buyers saw a 4 to 5 second delay, and it’s a very new 0.x app.
  • Acti: the Windows app is still in beta, there are small bugs on some Android phones, AI features are limited by monthly credits, and as with any third-party keyboard, it sees what you type.

Rhino Voice vs Acti: which should you buy?

Choose Rhino Voice if you…

  • work mostly on an M1 or newer Mac
  • dictate mainly in English
  • care most about privacy and offline use
  • just want fast dictation for $12

Choose Acti if you…

  • do a lot of typing on your phone
  • write or message in more than one language
  • want AI rewriting and workflows, not just dictation
  • use several devices, including Android or Windows

Or get both. They don’t really overlap: Rhino for private desktop dictation on your Mac, Acti for your phone. Together they cost $71, less than six months of Wispr Flow Pro.

My honest take

If you’re a Mac user who mostly wants to talk instead of type at your desk, Rhino Voice at $12 is almost a no-brainer. If your work happens on your phone, or across languages, Acti is the more powerful tool and worth the extra money. Both are young products, so use the 60-day refund window to try them on your real daily writing.
