Count how many times today you’ll copy text from one app, paste it into ChatGPT, copy the answer, switch back and paste it again. On your phone. With your thumbs.
Acti kills that loop. It replaces your phone keyboard with one that has AI built in: dictate, rewrite, translate, or run a mini-workflow (“send this to Notion”, “reply politely in Spanish”) right where you’re already typing. It also has a Mac app and a Windows beta.
The Acti lifetime deal starts at $59 on AppSumo, and it’s #1 in Workflow Automation with a 4.9 rating. We read all 72 reviews (15 are marked incentivized by AppSumo) to see whether it’s a real daily driver or just a cool demo.

What Acti actually does for you
1. Dictation that cleans up your words
Talk instead of typing, and Acti turns it into clean text with fixed grammar and clarity. It types in 90+ languages and dictates in 60+. Several buyers who already used Wispr Flow or Letterly said Acti’s dictation and interface are better, and one Japanese-English user loves switching languages inside the same keyboard.

2. Speak one language, send another
Voice Translate lets you dictate in English and send the message in Spanish (or 100+ other languages). One early reviewer called this the part that made Acti feel genuinely different from the other AI tools on AppSumo.
3. “Acts”: AI workflows from your keyboard
Describe a task in plain English and the Act Builder turns it into a reusable Act. It can be simple (rewrite this professionally) or multi-step, connected to Gmail, Slack, Notion, Calendly and 300+ apps and APIs. You can also grab one of 5,000+ community Acts. Hold the space bar, slide to an Act, let go, done. One buyer turned their library of business frameworks into Acts that analyze business plans on demand.

4. Shortcuts, clipboard and desktop
Save text shortcuts (type “/address” and get your full address), keep a clipboard history called Clips, and sync both across phone and computer. On Mac, you can highlight any text to rewrite or translate it, or use your phone as a microphone to dictate to your computer, which is handy for prompting AI coding tools.
The good stuff (what buyers love)
- It’s your everyday keyboard, not a side tool. Reviewers like that it replaces the normal keyboard, instead of being a second one you switch to.
- Fast, accurate dictation. Several buyers say it beats the dictation tools they used before.
- Every tier gets every feature. The only difference between tiers is the number of AI credits.
- Unlimited devices. Use it on your phone, tablet and computer with one license.
- Not everything uses credits. Reviewers note that basic voice typing doesn’t eat into your AI credits.
- A funded, growing team. Acti is a seed-funded startup of 11 to 50 people, and it was covered by TechCrunch at launch.
The not-so-good stuff (read this before you buy)
There are no reviews below 4 stars, but even the happy buyers list some rough edges:
- Windows is still in beta. One reviewer wanted a full Windows app within 60 days to decide whether to keep it.
- The interface needs polish. One user wants permanent select-all, copy and paste buttons. Another said the AI output disappears when you close the keyboard, and you have to dig into the app’s history to get it back.
- Small bugs. On a Galaxy S24 Ultra, copied images didn’t show up in Clips, and auto-capitalization didn’t always work. One buyer said it struggled a bit on an older phone.
- Dictation in other languages varies. A German user said it’s decent but could be better.
- It’s a keyboard, so it sees what you type. That’s true of any third-party keyboard. Check Acti’s privacy policy, and switch back to your default keyboard for passwords and banking if that makes you more comfortable.
Is the Acti lifetime deal worth it? Let’s do the math
All four AppSumo tiers include the same features. You’re only choosing how many AI credits you get each month:
| AppSumo tier | AI credits / month | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | 1,000 | $59 once |
| Tier 2 | 3,000 | $109 once |
| Tier 3 | 10,000 | $199 once |
| Tier 4 | 30,000 | $399 once |
Acti doesn’t clearly list its subscription prices on its official website, so we can’t do an exact monthly comparison. As a reference point, AppSumo compares similar AI dictation tools like Wispr Flow at about $144 a year. Against that, the Acti lifetime deal pays for itself in under six months, and Acti does far more than dictation.
Which tier? Start with Tier 1 if you mostly dictate and run a few Acts a day, since you can upgrade or downgrade later. Go for Tier 2 if you plan to lean on AI rewriting and workflows heavily. Small print in the Acti lifetime deal terms: activate within 60 days, and there are no codes or stacking. You simply pick a tier.
Should you grab the Acti lifetime deal this Black Friday?
Yes, if you…
- do a lot of work from your phone (emails, DMs, notes)
- already pay for a dictation app like Wispr Flow
- message people in more than one language
- like the idea of one-tap AI workflows without opening ChatGPT
Skip it if you…
- work mainly on Windows and need a finished desktop app today
- are uncomfortable with any third-party keyboard
- rarely type on your phone
- need perfect, bug-free software right now

My honest take
Acti is one of the more original products on AppSumo this year. Putting AI dictation, translation and workflows into the keyboard you already use all day is a genuinely smart idea, and buyers say the execution is surprisingly good for such a new app.
It still has interface quirks and a beta Windows app, so test it on your own phone during the 60-day refund window. If it becomes your default keyboard within a week, the Acti lifetime deal will be one of the best $59 you spend this Black Friday.
